Greetings and pleasantries, dear visitor.
You have found the page where I get to explain my inner workings and enlighten you about who I am. Good luck, it's a weird trip!
To give a strange idea right off the start, I'd like to state that at any given moment I would jump off this planet to find a real civilization. It's not that I don't like people, I get along with people really well, I enjoy the company of people; I just don't like society as a whole. People in groups are panicy and single-minded. Humans don't function well in large groups. It's been proven.
There are two sides to my being. I don't have a split personality (the other side told me to say that). There is my day to day side where I am a small town web designer and computer tech, (that's my techie side) then there's my sword-wielding, magic-casting, orc-slaying, maiden-saving fantasy side (I'd be the guy you would see in Rivendell with the laptop).
I have become comfortable with the fact that I will never make the Hollywood Hunk list, I don't like the fact that will never make the Hollywood Hunk list, I say that because I am trying to recover from an inferiority complex that tells me I should be better than I am. I am nearing middle age though so I probably shouldn't really give a crap anymore. But I do.
Generally, I'm a fairly happy-go-lucky kind of guy that still lets the little things bother me a little (my wife will back that statement up!). I am married with two kids, a house, a yard, a dog, a cat and my office - aah, my office; my sanctuary, my uncompleted world (still renovating) where I create my characters and their worlds. I enjoy my characters as much as I enjoy writing them. I know I am a writer more than anything else, even a techie, because I have been writing for several years now and I still enjoy doing it. I helped start a writers group in my hometown of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Canada and we call ourselves, After Hour Authors. We meet on the third Wednesday of every month and once more at the local Tim Horton's for a more casual atmosphere. We discuss our writing, brag about what we've published and help each other get published. We have a lot of fun and a lot of laughs and I sure hope we never stop. Our website can be reached at afterhourauthors.org. You will have to register to see all the really good stuff...
